A speedrun? In Star Citizen?
That's right! It's time to take the game by speed and see who can beat the latest patch the fastest in this fun and community driven challenge!
You'll be embarking in a fast pace journey through the whole onyx facility, completing the new Project Hyperion Quest.
But, you won't be alone!
As the newest feature of star citizen is tailored towards making multiplayer content, this challenge can be done with a team of up to 3 players!
So gear up, get your friends online, and start to run!
How do I get in?
First take and share the Project Hyperion mission with your team (up to 3 players including you), then head out to the designated Onyx Facility to get ready to start your run.
You'll need to complete all the objectives given by the mission for the run to be eligible, as having already completed objectives would make the run unbalanced.
Also, no preparation must be made in the Onyx facility itself to ease your run (ex: calling the elevator to site-B before starting the run), but we'll get back to that later!
The run starts when you and your fellow teammates leave the elevator leading to the Power Core (Engineering).
Update on the run start!
Based on popular feedback, the run start has been moved to the elevator leading to the Engineering section. Time for all previous run has been updated accordingly!
Now, it's a free for all! Do any strategy that you'd like, to complete the mission as fast as possible! You can team up to achieve the objectives faster, or split up in each wing to get there faster! The choice is yours!
How to submit a run?
Head over to Discord in the #asd-speedrun channel.
There you can post the link(s) to your run, stating your time so we can keep track of who got there the fastest!
What are the rules?
- Your run must start in the elevator leading to the Engineering section. The time starts as soon as any teammate leaves the elevator
- No preparation must be made to the facility. A run with preplaced transport (ex: the atrium Elevator to site-B must be at the upper position)
- All mission objectives must be done during the run
- At least one recording in good quality of the run must be submitted, although to ease the validation of the run, it's recommended that every team members records their POV if you split up during the run so we can ensure that every key point can be checked!
- 30K error will be deduced from total time, based on the pop up while the server gets back online.
- You can die and split up during the mission, even if only one person makes it to the final download, the run ends!
- Run must be glitchless, including OOB for this time
- The run is over when you've clicked on the download result of the final experiment and the screen turns green.

This prize may be updated if all goes well and even extended to second and third place teams!
Knowned glitch:
- Rocks from the first section don't always need to be mined to allow the mission to work
